Britney Spears Slammed For Sharing ‘Bare Body’ Pics Despite Having Been Praised For Posing In Underwear At 17
For Britney, it “helps” when she needs to be “enlightened.”
So many people are not agreeing with the slew of topless pictures that Britney has been sharing on her social media. Trolls are saying that these pictures are “disturbing” and “embarrassing” of her, but the ‘Baby, Baby One More Time’ singer was not going to shut up.
With only her hands over her body, Britney unapologetically shares pictures of her body as an act of celebrating her own freedom.
She explained her recent obsession of sharing topless pictures of herself, “I bet you’re wondering why I’d expose my body NOW … well it’s because I was born into this world naked and I honestly feel like the weight of the [world] has been on my shoulders, and it’s made me view myself that way.”
“I wanted to see myself in a lighter way … naked … like the way I was born.”
“I am a woman …. a beautiful … sensitive woman who needs to look at myself in my purest form … I’m not going to do topless pics for the rest of my life cause that would get boring but it sure as hell helps when you need to be enlightened.”
But the internet doesn’t stop just because she explained herself once. She’s continued receiving criticisms again when she shared some of her beach pictures.
With minimum censorship in her pictures, she shared her newest snaps from her vacation in French Polynesia.
“Alrightyyy then folks … showing my bod in French Polynesia as a rebel and free WOMAN !!!!! I WILL DO BIG LETTERS CAUSE I THINK THAT MEANS IT’S IMPORTANT AND I DON’T WANT TO BE LEFT OUT,” she captioned her next post sharing an old snap of herself.
It has also been getting people talking about when she was celebrated for taking underwear pictures at 17 for Rolling Stone.
One person commented, “Ppl have no issue w/ magazines & execs making money off a 21 yr old Britney’s nudity, but are up in arms when 40 yr old Brit chooses to do it for herself? She won’t be shamed by anyone or be told what her freedom should look like. That ended November 12, 2021. EAT IT, b***hes!”
The support for her expression of freedom and reclaiming her own body is wholly appreciated by people.
This has also sparked discussions about ageism considering how people have such different views for the same thing Britney does, only now that she’s older.
She’s now tasting the freedom of human rights like every other person on the planet, and if this is her act of “rebellion” and reclaiming herself for her, why should people feel the need to berate her for it?
