Billie Eilish Says She Would Rather Die Than Not Have Children In The Future
“Why is it OK to be scared to go to school?”
One of Billie Eilish’s main goals in life is to become a mother in the future. The 20-Year-Old passionately wants to have children, even though she dreads the idea of being anxious about protecting them as they grow up. The songwriter is also concerned about the potential shortcomings her future would experience.
The Bad Guy singer pictured with her family had been homeschooled as a child along with her brother and frequent collaborator Finneas. She graduated at age 15 when she passed a high school equivalency exam.
Speaking with The Sunday Times Magazine about being a parent, Billie said amid the sit-down: “I would rather die than not have kids. I need them. The older I get, the more I experience things, I just think, uuggh, what am I going to do when my kids think this is the right thing to do and I’m like no, it’s not! And they won’t listen to me.”
Of the issues facings children in America, Billie confessed she’s horrified by the fear of school shootings.
She asked: “Why is it OK to be scared to go to school? You go to school and be prepared for a life-changing traumatic experience or dying. What? Who? Where is the logic there? However, this comes as the singer opened up about her struggle with life in the spotlight during an episode of the Telekom Electronic Beat podcast. She admitted being depressed despite enjoying huge success from releasing her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
The Los Angeles native even expressed she was initially unsure about embracing her new status as a Hitmaker.
She had said: “The first few years of my career I was very young and very depressed and didn’t even know if I wanted anything that I had.” So far, Billie has made a series of behind-the-scenes changes, and her entire look outlook on life seems to have transformed. She has become more relaxed and has been getting a less brutal touring schedule, which she attested has become really enjoyable.
