Amber Heard’s Sister Says Johnny Was “Bright And Beautiful And Lovely And Kind And Generous” When She First Met Him
“To this day I have never seen my sister fall so madly for somebody.”
Whitney Henriquez, Amber Heard’s sister, testified that Johnny Depp was all bright and beautiful when she first met him in 2012. She claimed her sister and the actor were incredibly in love and that to this day, she’s never seen her sister fall so madly for somebody. Whitney also attested that Depp had also been lovely, kind, and VERY generous.
“Frankly, we all fell in love with him, at first,” Henriquez stated and added that, but if Depp was drinking or using drugs, there was almost always a fight.
Detailing the change that occurred in sister amid the 5-Year relationship, Henriquez said Depp became controlling over Heard’s clothing, and as they had the same stylist, he was essentially controlling over what she wore to events. She said Depp complained bitterly about doing movies, especially if they had s*x scenes, and was vehemently against her working at all.
“It seemed to oscillate pretty quickly. He’d be sober for a bit, then fall off the wagon, and it would go back and forth. At first, Amber was Amber; she was loud, fun, funny, laughed a lot, was this happy, bright, fun, loving thing surrounded by friends.”
“A progression took over such a long period of time. It was like watching a slow-motion gunshot. She stopped sleeping, she was not as loud, not as gregarious. Heard’s weight dropped to 100lbs soaking wet, and she was emaciated, not sleeping, she developed a heart condition, her eyes were sunken in.” Henriquez insisted Depp on drugs was almost unrecognizable from him when he was sober and had to forbid Heard to have a password on her phone or force her to have a straightforward one he could memorize.
“When he was drinking, he’d get very angry and say nasty unkind things, usually about Amber. Horrible, horrible things.”
Asked to give an example, Henriquez replied: “Pardon my language, f***ing cu**, f**king used up trash bag, slimy wh**e, saggy wh**e. F**king cunt was thrown out a bunch. Horrible things like that. While riding in a car with the actor and her sister, she described one time that she looked around and was shocked to see him holding one of his dogs out the window. “Johnny is holding the dog out the window. I froze; I’m scared. I knew how inebriated he was. If she [the dog] twitched, she was going to go out the window.”
Henriquez then explained that Depp brought the dog back into the car, started laughing scarily, loud, almost like a cackle, and then joked about putting her in the microwave.
She also spoke of an incident one night in March 2015, saying she was woken up in Los Angeles by her sister after finding some texts between Depp and another woman. Henriquez claimed she went to talk to Depp, who then said the woman was meaningless but soon started to blame Heard, who came into the room and a fight erupted. Of the incident, she said Depp threw a can of Red Bull and hit Debbie Lloyd, his personal nurse who was in the room.
“Johnny runs up the stairs. I’m facing Amber, he comes up behind me, strikes me in the back. I hear Amber shout don’t hit my f****** sister. She smacks him, lands one. That’s when Travis [Depp’s security guard] runs up the stairs.”
Henriquez said Depp had already grabbed Amber by the hair with one hand and whacked her with the other. She said he was also saying ‘you f****** whores and f****** c*** before going into Heard’s closet, which he destroyed. The courtroom saw photos from the March 2015 argument where Heard allegedly punched Depp, including a clothing rack thrown down the stairs, shoe racks pushed over, and broken glass in the kitchen.
She stated after the incident, Depp left a non-disclosure agreement on Heard’s kitchen table – an agreement not to speak publicly about what happened.
And that just because Heard refused to stand by the rules, Depp soon accused her of selling stories to the media and, as a result, moved out.
At her sister’s 30th birthday, Henriquez said Depp shocked her closest friends with an anecdote and had shown up late, was drunk, went around the table, and said favorite things about Amber, and funny memories, including how they first met for the Rum Diary. She added that statements by Depp’s ex-lawyer Adam Waldman in 2020 that Heard claims were a hoax had left her devastated, mainly because they had just buried their mother and that Heard had panic attacks randomly, wasn’t sleeping, was super anxious, couldn’t relax, couldn’t sit still and periodically broke into tears.
Amid the cross-examination, she said she did joke with Depp about hitting her sister, but that was only because she didn’t know about the physical violence.
However, she concluded the pair had a nickname for her as she was involved in their fights: the “Marriage Counselor.”
