Amber Heard’s Former Assistant: “Amber Verbally Abused Me And Paid ‘Very Poorly”
“Her poor sister was treated like the dog that you kick basically.”
A woman who used to work as Amber Heard’s assistant had given her testimony at the court. The actress had allegedly abused her verbally during the time she worked for her from 2012 to 2015, while Johnny Depp had treated her the complete opposite.
At the trial that many know would be full of surprises, Kate James spoke of the time she worked for Amber Heard.
In a video deposition made on February 18, the former boss had only paid her $25 an hour, which was only half her usual rate. She described her former boss as a “very insecure” individual who would get “dramatic” whenever she saw her speaking to Depp.
James added that she’d scold her out of “blind rage” and even suffer from “abusive text messages” that she’d receive in the middle of the night. She added that she’d seen the way she treats her family members, and it wasn’t good.
“Her poor sister was treated like the dog that you kick basically,” said the witness.
She had also heard personally from Heard’s own mother that she’s terrified of her.
In addition, she never remembered seeing Heard with injuries such as the bruises and black eye she’s shown before. In her opinion, the couple seems to be incompatible due to their “age gap.”
Depp sued Heard for defamation and is seeking $50 million for damages from the 35-year-old actress.
Her op-ed in Washington Post from 2018 had become one of the biggest thrusters in the convoluted legal war between the two. Depp, who’d lost multiple major roles after media outlets labeled him an abuser despite the court not yet making its decision, continues to fight to clear his name.
Two of Depp’s fans have also been booted out of the courtroom after being identified as online users who made public threats at Heard.
One of them had sent a tweet that reads, “I Can’t Wait For The Day I Kill Amber Heard.”
But they denied being identified as Depp’s fans as one of them stated, “First of all, we aren’t fans, we are abuse survivors who are supporting another survivor.”
“But this is a private matter that we are still getting sorted with the sheriffs.”
Their marriage counselor, Dr. Laurel Anderson, had also been called in and attested that what happened between them was “mutual abuse.”
The dynamic between the couple was that Heard, who suffers from abandonment issues, would basically “strike him to keep him there” whenever Depp tried to leave to de-escalate the situation. She added, “She would rather be in a fight to keep him there.”
