Amber Heard Rejects By Judge For Jury Fraud Claim In Depp Case
So far, she’s got no judicial relief.
Just recently, Amber Heard’s legal team filed documents alleging that one of the jurors took the summons from his father, who shared the same name, and got himself fraudulently empaneled. They also argued the $10 million compensatory damage award that Johnny Depp received was excessive.
In response to the new trial, the presiding judge has ruled there was no fraud because the summons didn’t include a birth date.
The 36-Year-Old was slammed for her claim, and the judge also suggested either the father or son, who live together, could have shown up for jury service. It’s unknown if the son’s name has anything distinguishing him from his dad, like a junior or an II at the end. Even more, the Judge said Amber’s motion was sour grapes.
It was alleged the actress could have made the argument much earlier, but the only reason she’s doing it now is that she lost the case.
Needless to say, Amber sat on her hands, so she got no judicial relief. Of the compensatory damage awarded to Depp, the judge also thumbs down on Amber. It would be recalled there had been a testimony that the 59-Year-Old actor lost way more than that amount after his movie roles were pulled in the wake of Amber’s defamatory op-ed in the Washington Post.
