Will young Aragorn make an appearance?
It has been quite a while that fans hear of and observing updates on a whole series on Middle-Earth, the world of J. R. R Tolkien’s creation. Prime has revealed that their series will focus on the Second Age, which is post war of Last Alliance of Elves and Men against the dark forces of Sauron.
Will Poulter has been rumored to be cast as Beldor. Most people will remember Poulter who played in Narnia as well as the game developer in Black Mirror’s special episode ‘Bandersnatch’. Markella Kavenagh is the next rumored cast who plays the role of someone named Tyra.
Leaked audition tapes, which are often bluffs especially when Amazon will take good care to not let the script leak, could be wrong. But if it was true. Tyra would be a caring elf, but several fans pointed out that it was not a name Tolkien will ever approve of for being an elf.
Andy Serkis who portrayed Gollum and Orlando Bloom’s Legolas have confirmed that they’ll be out of the pictures. This makes sense as the two of them were only born during the Third Age. Nobody knows the real age of Legolas, but it was presumed to be around 5,000. He may have only been born on the late of Second Age.
Bloom said, “I don’t know how they’re going to approach it, I haven’t had any conversations about that. I like to think of myself as ageless, but I don’t know where I would fit in that world. If you’re saying as Legolas, they probably have a 19-year-old kid who’s ready to go and he’ll do a great job.”
Meanwhile, Serkis who played an antagonist role in ‘Black Panther’ was pretty sure he won’t be in as they need ‘new faces’. “And if I was anyone making those, they’re obviously going to want to start fresh and create something brand new. And that’s how it should be,” said the actor of Gollum.
One source claims that young Aragorn might make an appearance, however, the chances and logic that the show will have to create has to be very convincing. Aragorn may be of Dúnedain blood, but they live only around 140 to 250 years. Legolas hasn’t yet existed, let alone Aragorn.
