You must have been using your ceiling fans in the wrong way? Quite a number of people were recently stunned to discover that ceiling fans actually have dual switches to reverse the direction of the blades in order to make their room either colder or hotter.
Sharing the little insight on TikTok, Anthony Bertoncin, 20 from Kansas City, Missouri learned about the existence of fan switch during a FaceTime call with a friend. He realized he had undeniably made his room hot, but after flipping the switch, his room instantly became cooler.

‘During our FaceTiming, my friend switched the direction of his fan to heat his room amid winter. I’ve been suffering heat for six years and now I am just realizing.’ Anthony admitted.
Going viral, the revelation has prompted his 1.5million followers to share clips of themselves trying out the switch flip for the summer. ‘I have been a total moron. I finally realized my ceiling fan has been making my room hot for about six years now.’ Anthony said in his viral clip.
He added: ‘I have been staying in this house and through my videos, you must have been seeing this fan right here. Well, it’s always on because my room is hot and with the fan on is one best way to cool it down.’ In the clip, Anthony stepped onto his bed, pointing to the switch. The blades as seen needed to be spin clockwise for warm air and counterclockwise for cool air.
