It doesn’t seem like we’ll be seeing him attending the final match next year. It wasn’t even clear how the man managed to make his way into the pitch and joined the team for the pictures, who were celebrating with their family.

Messi was initially ignoring the chef who tapped him on his shoulder. But he later continued pestering the footballer and finally got his pictures while the football star was being swamped with photo requests from photographers and more. The pictures came out with a pretty awkward expression from Messi.

He also had pictures with other members of the team and even got his hands on the World Cup trophy, which is said to worth USD $21.3m.

FIFA previously mentioned that the trophy is only touched directly by a select view, including former winners and heads of state.

One angry viewer wrote, “This is ridiculous, shame on FIFA for allowing him to touch, kiss, and hold the World Cup. Salt Bae drops salt on meat, what is he doing there?”

Salt Bae later shared an old clip when Messi visited his restaurant which incited even more criticism who think he was making excuses.

One viewer observed, “This is an old video but I bet he’s trying to make it seem as if Messi went to his restaurant after the World Cup final as if to celebrate the win there.”

“I guess he hopes to trick people into thinking Messi was okay with him being in the field harassing his teammates and holding the cup as if he was part of the team.”

Messi hasn’t commented on this, but the internet has been constantly shaming the man for his lack of “respect and good manners.”
