Ex-Chelsea star Michael Ballack, 45, Is Now Dating 21-Year-Old Model Friend Of His Late Son
They aren’t bothered by their 24 age gap.
Former Chelsea star, Michael Ballack, is now believed to be dating a 21-Year-Old friend of his late son, Emilio. It comes less than a year after the 18-Year-Old was killed when his quad bike tipped backward and crushed him as he reversed and lost control following a family BBQ at Ballack’s Portuguese holiday home.
Notably, Emilio was the middle of Ballack’s three sons – born in 2002 to then-GF Simone Lamble, with whom Ballack tied the knot in 2008 but divorced in 2012.
Of his new relationship, the 45-Year-Old was recently spotted enjoying a visit to Art Basel, a fair for Modern and Contemporary Art, with his model GF Sophia Schneiderhan. German outlet Bild reported that the pair appeared loved up and were even seen kissing in public. Friends of the couple believe the affair was good for Ballack and that the couple isn’t bothered by their 24 age gap.
This isn’t the first time Ballack and Sophia have been seen out together, as they had been spotted out in a trendy district of Berlin.
So far, the pair are yet to confirm the relationship, but their public display of affection has been telling it all. However, Police at the time of Emilio’s death said he had been riding on an uneven piece of land when the bike rolled backward and fell on top of him around 2 a.m. on August 5th at the family’s Villas do Mar estate, near the town of Troia which is just south of the capital, Lisbon. Firefighters had to pull him free of the wreck before medics attempted to revive him, but their efforts proved abortive.
“The accident happened at the family home. The quad rider wasn’t on a public road and he was the only vehicle involved,” an officer had told Portuguese media.
The evening before the tragic incident, sources said Emilio enjoyed a family barbecue at the villa as he was holidaying with his father, two brothers, and Michael’s parents. Nonetheless, his body was taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Santiago de Cacem for a post-mortem.
