People work 9-5 and take well-deserved breaks during their weekend. It’s natural to assume that they won’t be looking at their work emails during their break. They deserve to take their mind off from work when resting, right? We can all agree on this one thing.
However… some people seem to lack the common sense that the first thing people do when they wake up on a Monday morning won’t be replying to your email. We wake up, enjoy our breakfast, get ready, and set off for work. Work emails will be replied to during work hours… It doesn’t matter if your email came in on Friday, especially on Friday evening.
Amber tweeted how she was reminded to reply to a work email that was ‘sent 3 days ago.’ But it was on Friday 4.47, before being followed up by another email on Monday morning at 8:15 when her seat had just begun to warm up at her work. Considering her actual work hours, that email had only been sent 28 minutes before it got a follow-up.
