‘Wonder Woman’ Director Patty Jenkins Is Considering For Amazon’s Spin-off
We’ll have a lot of expect on Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman!
Gal Gadot has revealed that she’s injured her spine a few times when making ‘Wonder Woman 1984’. But ‘it’s totally, totally worth it’ after she gets her first looks on ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ trailer. And now, we’ve known of Barbara Ann Minerva and Maxwell Lord duo threats.
Ahead of their panel appearance for ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ in Comic-Con Experience in São Paulo, Brazil, director Patty Jenkins and actress Gal Gadot revealed they already have ideas on Wonder Woman’s third movie. They are also considering making spin-offs regarding the Amazonians!
Gal Gadot also teased that she tried fiddling with this and that, but the movie is basically finished.
“I was able to say, ‘Hey guys, can you let me fiddle with this? Can you let me fiddle with that?’ So I’m fiddling but the movie is technically done,” says the model. They haven’t yet revealed the runtime for the movie, but Jenkins revealed that her first cut was 2 hours and 45 minutes.
She also said, “I knew exactly what I wanted it to be. But then, the thing that excites me the most is we literally set out to do something that I may never get to do again, which is to say, let’s not make a movie that’s ‘funny ha ha, the ’80s.’ Let’s make a grand tentpole as they made in the ’80s so it’s as if you, I want it to feel like you’re seeing a movie in the ’80s.
Jenkins also defines what Wonder Woman is about to her, “Wonder Woman is sent out into the world being about love and a belief in [people] and trying to make people better. She will fight if she has to fight, but she’s actually about something else.”
About the spinoff, Jenkins added, “We actually already know the whole story to it. It’s just a matter of, will we change our minds, and when [to make it]. I think what we don’t want to do is do it back to back. It’s been great doing these two movies back to back, but I think it’s important to give it a little rest in between.”
“And I like doing other things in between. And Gal has other things to do. I never want to make decisions too far in advance. We have to see if we both feel like making the movie we think we want to make when the moment comes,” she explained.
So, yeah, it won’t be soon “soon”. But it’s definitely happening somewhere after the movie.
