Woman Praised For Making A Last-Minute Trip To Turkey To Avoid Paying $3099 For A Root Canal Fix

Delia O’Malley traveled to Turkey to have a root canal after finding out the exorbitant price the procedure would cost in the United States. The 26-Year-Old had gone to the dentist for a root canal fix as she had been suffering extreme pain in one of her teeth. But behold, she was given a quote of $3099 even after her insurance paid part of it.
“Yep. $3.099.16. And that is with my insurance,” Delia said as she showed the full quote via her TikTok.
It was utterly unfeasible, and so she decided to travel to Izmir. She shared an update: “I ain’t paying over three grand to get my tooth done. That’s insane. So guess what I’m doing? I just booked a flight to Turkey. I fly out tomorrow morning. I can’t believe I’m actually doing this.”

Not only did Delia receive the operation for only a fraction of what it would have cost her in the US, but she also spent a week in the European nation sightseeing.
The trip cost her $1,167, including $807 to fly roundtrip and under $200 for the root canal procedure. Delia explained that the holiday was wonderful in a separate clip, and it was definitely worth it. “I spent less than if I had the work was carried out in Atlanta. My experience with the dentist was good. The dentist is amazing, and I’d highly recommend them.”
While the whole experience seems bizarre to some, Delia recommends that people should consider medical tourism to deal with sky-rocking prices in the US.
