Woman Gets Reply From From Her Crush Almost 9 Years Later And People Don’t Believe His Excuse
Did he seriously think anyone would believe that?
Honestly, there is a limit to the excuse of not replying someone’s text. Just like how someone is clearly lying about not seeing your text after the ‘Read’ label appears, a man has finally decided to reply to a woman’s text asking what he’s been up to more than 3,000 days later.
This woman shared her short but also long text exchange with a potential suitor – more than 8 years after it all started.

The text was shared on a popular Instagram page in Australia and was captioned: Can we please spare a thought for Sally who this morning received a reply from an Adelaide guy who had to wait a mere eight years and seven months for his phone to update?
He first texted her on July 17, 2011 when it was almost 7 pm. It was your typical first text to a woman you’re interested and asking what’s up. It took her 3 days to reply with another polite and friendly text. But that was it, he never texted back and like any normal person would think, he probably lost interest and didn’t want to take it a step further.
But hold up, people, 3,130 days later, he actually replied to the message. Late is an understatement. The man gave his excuse that an ‘update on his phone’ had hindered from replying soon.

The year 2011 was when smartphones only began to become popular so it’d be understandable if you don’t understand what to do with an update. But 8 years later, using the same excuse for that? One person commented, “That’s a standard reply time.”
Another man wrote, “He is a man of focus and sheer commitment.”
