It is such a narrow way in, but Sofia Jiaru made it. The Puerto Rican is more than just a beautiful model – she’s a Down Syndrome woman who just rocked New York Fashion Week.
Jirau’s career is only going one director after NYFW – up.
Jirau loves modelling and even has her own fashion brand called ‘Alavett. She’s also a young businesswoman who uses ‘I love you’ as her favorite phrase. She sells her designs online from purses to stickers and dreams to be an inspiration to others who are born with the same condition as her.
Honestly, we’re all just so proud of this woman who’s proving her point that with extra chromosomes, you can be extra special.
How does Jirau feel about walking down the runway for the first time?
The gorgeous model revealed,“I felt really good the first time. Everyone clapped for me.” She also said that she’s a fan of Jennifer Lopez and loves her choice of fashion. She loves everything about her as revealed in her interview with People.
