Texas Mom Warns Watching ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ Could Open The Gates Of Hell
“You unleash hell on your kids and in your home.”
Texan Mom Jamie Gooch has gone viral after making a rather unusual statement online. The 33-year-old from Troy is warning parents not to let their children or anyone watch “Hocus Pocus 2.”
The movie stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, and Kathy Najimy as returning actresses and dropped on September 30.
She spoke to KWTX, “A worst-case scenario is: You unleash hell on your kids and in your home. It grieves me, the thought of exposing our kids to darkness.”
The family, raised in conservative Christian, has not celebrated Halloween for five years now. Although they do celebrate the harvest.
She wrote in a Facebook post on September 26, “After all, the whole movie is based on harvesting the purity of children’s souls so that witches may live on…”
“What is happening when we watch these films? What are we subjecting our minds to? What are we welcoming into the homes of our families?”
The post continued on about “satanic church” and how they “abuse and sacrifice children” for their rituals. And this movie is a medium through which they cast their spells.
“So before you hit play on the night of the premier of this movie, please ask yourself if not only your mind, but your children’s minds, are strong enough to ward off the hypnotization and bewitching trance that will be coming through your screen to aid the desensitization of the coming evil in this world.”
“Don’t fall victim to the schemes of hell.”
Gooch went on to say that she’s had her own share of “spiritual warfare” after falling into similar traps a few times. And she’s also seen the fictional things from TV shows “manifested in real life” but doesn’t elaborate about them.
“Everybody thinks it’s fake and innocent, but they could be casting any type of spell that they want to, anything could be coming through that TV screen and into your home.”
While people have pretty much commented that she’s being arsenic with her post, she’s also had her own share of supporters. One mom replied, “As I leaned in closer to the Holy Spirit I started to see things differently. Halloween wasn’t just a innocent day anymore, but a very important day for Modern Witches and Satanic sacrifice.”
“The innocent movie I once watched was not innocent anymore, as I remembered the entire emphasis of the movie was to take the souls of Children. What about my Children?”
With all that’s said, the movie has taken a sweep on Disney+ as the cult classic revived people’s favorite trio of witches and their shenanigans.
Kathy Najimy spoke with CBS Sunday Morning, “When it came on TV, is was more accessible to the whole family overnight, and the generations kept showing it.”
Sarah Jessica Parker added, “What is so wonderful and feels so good is that the audience has become so diverse for this. People have integrated this into their lives — families and children and babysitters and grandparents, and the LGBTQ-plus community. It’s just remarkable.”
“And it’s so wholesome… it’s even more wholesome than the last one,” continued Better Midler.
