Teen Mum Went Online To Sell Concert Tickets On The Day Her Starved Baby Found Dead

Tragically, baby Asiah left the world so soon due to her mom’s negligence. Asiah was abandoned for six days without food or water, and sadly the 20-month-old body was found. It has emerged that her mom, identified as Verphy Kudi, 19, had actually gone partying for six days and had even sold concert tickets on the day Asiah passed away.

Kudi’s family is heavily heartbroken by the incident, especially as she admitted manslaughter at Lewes Crown Court. Specifically, Asiah passed away in a flat at a supported housing block in Brighton in December 2019 after Kudi left her behind to travel to London, Coventry, and Solihull to celebrate her 18th birthday. 

Verphy had gone partying for six days and had even sold concert tickets online on the day 20-month-old Asiah passed away.

A post-mortem examination and forensic tests discovered that Asiah was starved, dehydrated, and had developed flu. The leading cause of Asiah death is associated with neglect. Following a hearing on Friday, Muba Kudi, 59, claims his heart is broken after his granddaughter’s death.

Speaking to Daily Mail, Muba said: “My heart is so broken. My daughter was missing. She had been missing since the age of 14.” Verphy’s sister, Aisha Bartrane, added: “This whole situation has completely broken my family. It might be entertainment for the rest of the world, but it’s shattered us. We are heartbroken and angry at how Verphy behaved.”

Kudi’s family is heavily heartbroken by the incident, especially as Verphy admitted manslaughter at Lewes Crown Court.

“Verphy had been estranged from the family for quite a long time, and we had minimal contact with her. We have spoken to her, and we’re still not clear what she was doing for those six days, who she was with and why she left like that? Who the hell knows? We can’t understand it. As a family, we now want to be left alone to grieve and try to understand what’s happened.” 

It’s confirmed that Verphy, an aspiring Pretty Little Thing Model, and Asiah weren’t involved with social services.

Verphy had reportedly called 999 on seeing her baby wouldn’t wake when she returned on December 11, 2019.

The court reportedly pointed out that the mom had called 999, having seen her baby wouldn’t wake when she returned. Asiah was taken to Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton but was eventually declared dead on arrival. However, Asiah was born on March 22nd, 2018, and it remains unclear who her father was. On the other hand, Verphy’s case has been adjourned to a provisional sentencing date of May 28, but she was warned it might be delayed.
