Taylor Swift Reveals She Loves Teaching “Men How To Apologize”

“I love to tell them step-by-step.”

Taylor Swift shares one of her latest favorite thing to do with her 70,000 fans in Glendale, Arizona while holding her Eras Tour. And that is to “explain to men how to apologize” and the 12-time Grammy winner can’t deny how much she loves doing it.

Taylor prefaced with how there’s a “recurring theme” in some of her songs while speaking to her fans.

“So, sort of a recurring theme in my music is that I love to explain to men how to apologize,” she spoked to the crowd. “I just love it. It’s kind of my thing.”

“I love to tell them step-by-step, “Here’s how simple this is to fix things if you just follow these easy steps that I’m laying out for you in a three-minute song.” I just love the idea of men apologizing.”

While several of her albums have been based of her own life experience and relationships, her eighth studio album “Folklore” was fed with her imagination.

The singer is currently dating English actor Joe Alwyn since 2016 and despite her popularity, she’s been keeping her relationship with the 32-year-old act very private.

She added that her past albums were so much about herself that they felt more like “public autopsy.”

“My albums have characteristically been, sort of, excruciatingly autobiographical where, like, when I put out an album, it just feels like getting some sort of live-streamed, public autopsy.”

But with “Folklore,” she decided something different, “Wouldn’t it be so fun to create characters and storylines? They’ll live in different times, and they’ll do all these things and fall in love and hurt each other, go to wars and all these things.”

Yet another hit, the 2020 album featured a pair of characters inspired by the daughters of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, her close friends. And she wove a story and one of them, “Betty”, was about an apology.

“This is a song about a teenage [boy] named James trying to apologize to the love of his life and her name is Betty,” she explained.
