Australian bodybuilding Lesley Maxwell has quite the following on her Instagram page as a female bodybuilder. But what sets her different from others is her age: she’s now 64 years old!

And bodybuilding was not something she did until she hit her 40s.

Maxwell often shares her workout snaps on Instagram and flaunts her figure to her followers. The superfit granny isn’t shy to show some skin because of her perfect figure.

As a 30+ champion and title bearers, she now shares her tips and tricks in maintaining her healthy lifestyle. For example, instead of drinking juice, she bites and chews into her fruits.

“I don’t really drink juices as I believe it’s actually good to chew our food,” she shares in one post. “Also known as ‘masticating’. When we chew our food it’s easier digested – helps us maintain a healthier weight – good for our teeth – more exposure to our saliva as digestion should start in our mouth.”

“Plus many more health benefits. Not saying juices are a bad thing, just being aware of the fact that actually chewing our food enables us to feel satiated (full).”

She has incorporates a healthy amount of fat into her diet, “I’m not afraid of eating fat and also have at least three or four whole organic eggs daily.”

“Yes! I do enjoy a coffee and have it black with coconut oil or butter. And I love how adding fat to coffee gives long lasting energy without a blood sugar crash!”

She also encourages people not to let age stop them from getting fit.

“No matter our age our body responds to effective exercise and nourishing food. Imagine if you actually gave your body a chance by learning how to lift.”

“We can change our body shape and health from training and eating efficiently,” added the trainer who often shares her training results.
