‘Succession’ Creator Openly Disses King Charles III in Emmys 2022
“Succession” creator Jesse Armstrong dissed King Charles III After winning the award for the Best Drama Series at Emmy Awards 2022 on Monday night
In his speech, he said, “Big week for successions, New king in the U.K… for us. Evidently, a little bit more voting involved in our winning than Prince Charles.” recognizing the TV Institute’s votes that procured his group a golden statuette.
As cheers and heaves occupied the room, Actor Brian Cox attempted to stop him by stating, “Keep it, royalist, keep it royalist.”
Armstrong further added, “I’m not saying we’re more legitimate in our position than he is. We’ll leave that up to other people.”
While his joke finished in some time, numerous watchers had blended sentiments on the same. While some wanted to take it cheerfully, others were irritated for including the new king in his speech.
