Selena Gomez Shares A Stunning Selfie As Hailey Bieber Faces Backlash For ‘Copycat’ Cooking Show

The Rare Beauty founder radiates confidence in her selfie as she poses in a ribbed white tank top, choosing to go braless.

The singer has taken to Instagram to treat her fans with a s*xy new selfie. It comes at a time when some of Selena Gomez’s fans are criticizing Hailey Bieber, who is rumored to be imitating Gomez’s cooking show on HBO Max. In the selfie, the founder of Rare Beauty, 30, didn’t hesitate to exude confidence as she posed in a ribbed white tank top and opted to go braless.

The former Disney star, rumored to be dating Zayn Malik also showcased her lustrous dark hair styled in a sleek and slicked-back fashion in the selfie.

Her makeup featured bold, elongated black mascara that accentuated her dark eyes, and her lips were coated with a vibrant red hue. The photo was taken from a lower angle, giving viewers a perspective of looking up at the singer of “Come & Get It,” adding to the sultry vibe of the selfie.

Hailey, on the other hand, is facing backlash after launching her culinary series titled “What’s in My Kitchen?” on YouTube.

Many drew comparisons to Gomez’s show “Selena + Chef,” which has been streaming for almost three years. Hailey, the founder of Rhode, has previously been accused of copying the “Only Murders in the Building,” star and now, the scrutiny has heightened with most people labeling Hailey’s latest venture as a ‘rip-off.’

‘Hailey really needs to stop copying Selena and she should focus on herself,’ one person tweeted, while another added, ‘She wants to be left alone but copies Selena constantly.’

One Twitter user snidely posted that ‘HBO MAX didn’t want her,’ while others claimed Hailey was giving off ‘single white female’ vibes with her show. ‘This gurl is obsessed with Selena,’ someone else insisted. ‘Look now a remake of Selena + Chef Cook Show.’ Another joked: ‘Next, she’ll announce a murder mystery comedy show co-starring Tim Allen and Jerry Seinfeld,’ referring to Gomez’s Hulu series Only Murders in the Building.

Hailey has, however, defended her culinary series, “What’s in My Kitchen?”,

She said in a statement shared with the Hollywood Reporter that it is a ‘natural spin-off’ of her previous series, “Who’s in My Bathroom?”, which has featured guests such as Kendall Jenner, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Emily Ratajkowski. The first episode of “What’s in My Kitchen?” was released on Wednesday and showcases Hailey making her ‘signature chicken wing recipe’ in the home she shares with her husband, Justin Bieber.

The series will also feature her home version of a $17 ‘Strawberry Glaze’ Erewhon smoothie and pizza toast recipe.

Hailey, the skincare guru, partnered with OBB Media to create the series, with HexClad sponsoring it. In March, Gomez used her Instagram Stories to call for an end to bullying directed towards Hailey, stating: ‘Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity. “This isn’t what I stand for.” No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.’

At the time, Hailey expressed gratitude towards Gomez for speaking out and acknowledged they had been in discussions on how to put an end to the ongoing narrative and move forward in a positive manner.

‘The last few weeks have been very hard for everyone involved and millions of people are seeing so much hate around this which is extremely harmful. While social media is an incredible way to connect and build community, moments like this only create extreme division instead of bringing people together,’ she continued.

‘Things can be taken out of context or construed differently than they were intended. We all need to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say, including myself. In the end, I believe love will always be bigger than hate and negativity and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy or compassion

In a further gesture, Hailey Bieber and Gomez began following each other on Instagram, signaling their intention to put any past differences behind them.
