Rihanna Named America’s Youngest Self-Made Female Billionaire

Congratulations, RiRi!

With a net worth of $1.4billion, Rihanna has made history, becoming the youngest self-made female billionaire in America. The vast majority of her fortune comes from numerous business interests, primarily her cosmetics line, Fenty Beauty. Accordingly, the singer has a 30% stake in the Savage x Fenty lingerie line, valued at $1bn in 2021.

Her musical wealth is relatively small despite being the top-selling digital artist of all time and having sold 215million digital tracks worldwide, including 60million albums.

The mom-of-one also boasts an impressive property portfolio, with a Beverly Hills mansion valued at $13.75m, a neighboring pad she purchased for $10, and a rental property in the Hollywood Hills. The “Umbrella” singer also owns a stalker-proof flat in Century Towers and a property at the One Sandy Lane Resort in Barbados, which set her back a cool $22million.

Notably, the 34-Year-Old singer has successfully pushed reality star Kim Kardashian off the top spot.

Speaking previously about becoming a billionaire, Rihanna had told Access: “You know, it was real weird getting congratulations text from people for money. I never got congratulated for money before. That s*** is crazy. It made sense when I realized that it was inspiring to people, that they felt like this is something that they could achieve knowing where I’ve come from.”

She added: “Knowing my humble beginnings, they see the possibility and it gives the hope. That made me feel really happy.”

Despite being successful, Rihanna insisted she didn’t want to be put on a pedestal and said she wanted to keep her feet firmly on the ground. “It’s scary. I do think about it all the time. I make it a point to think about it because I get scared when the pedestal comes into play and people put you up there and keep wanting to put you up there. I wanna feel my feet on the ground because I know it’s not gonna be a fall at all if anything, right?”
