Project Runway’s Michael Costello Claims Chrissy Teigen Bullied Him
“Your career is over, just watch.”
After Chrissy Teigen attempted to apologize through a Medium post and insists that she is “no longer the person who wrote those horrible things,” it was Project Runway’s fashion designer Michael Costello’s turn to reveal another chapter of her dark bullying history.
At around the same time Chrissy’s post was up, Michael also posted a series of screenshots telling the story from seven years ago.
Along with that were screenshots of him trying to contact Chrissy about her comment.
“For the past 7 years, I’ve lived with a deep, unhealed trauma,” Michael wrote.
He wrote how Chrissy and Monica the stylist had chosen to believe in “a false narrative a former disgruntled employee” made of him.
In 2014, Chrissy made a public comment that called him racist over an edited comment of his. Despite the comment having been declared fake by Instagram and has since been taken down, the damage has been done.
“Throughout the next few years, I would book jobs only to be pulled off last minute with no explanation,” Michael told the story. He claims that his friends would often inform him how Chrissy, along with the powerful Hollywood industry fashion stylist, Monica Rose, would purposely threaten brands to never give him a job.
Michael admitted that it took him this long as he feared “losing some of my most profitable brand relationships” and having to enter the blacklist yet again.
Chrissy’s harsh message included telling Michael that he was racist and “deserve to suffer and die” before cursing that his career is over. Michael did not deny that and “didn’t see the point of living.” He had also informed his family of his suicidal tendencies who have in turn put him on a close watch for the past few days.
“I am not okay, I may never be okay. But today, I am choosing to speak the truth.”
Michael ended his coming out on the story of being bullied without pursuing for any legal actions. He claimed that he only wants to “be free from being bullied and blacklisted by the powers that control Hollywood and high-fashion.”
