‘Princess Diaries’ Star Says, “I Have Hit My Limit With Life” After Struggling To Survive In Hollywood
“Something broke,” she sounded her frustration.
Actress Heather Matarazzo vents out her frustration being in the acting industry, craving for a big break in her career. The “Princess Diaries” is receiving much support from her fans, who share how they relate to her feelings.
The actress shared how she’s hitting her “limit” and is “tired” of “whatever games the Universe is playing.”
Some of her vents have been deleted, but fans poured in with support, telling her not to give up hope and roles they loved her playing.
Heather made her debut in ‘Welcome to the Dollhouse’ in 1995 and was instantly most known there as the shy 7th grader Dawn Wiener.
She continues to pick up roles, playing Lilly in ‘The Princess Diaries’ and its sequel. She’s also in ‘Scream 3’ as Martha Meeks, and returned to reprise her role in ‘Scream.’ She’s also seemed set to reprise the same role in ‘Scream 6’ scheduled for 2023.
The actress shared, “I feel at a loss because I feel I have done THE WORK, for a long time, with no complaint.”
“I have taken the disappointments, the rejections, etc., and maintained that rejection is redirection,” she continued. “I have had continual FAITH in the Universe, but today, something broke. I feel cast…”
“I’ve given my life to acting for over 30 years,” she continued in the series of deleted tweets. “And am done struggling just to survive.”
The 39-year-old shared her desperation to make a big break. Her last deleted tweet read, “I just need a win. A life-changing win.”
She previously spoke of the dangerous considerations of ending her own life back in 2009 after failing auditions one after another. She told The Guardian, “I don’t know if I took a step back from Hollywood. Or Hollywood took a step back from me. I was like, ‘What kind of sick and twisted universe is this?'”
“The fact that I’m still here is a miracle in itself.”
“Most people think that I probably get paid a lot of money. But I really don’t, and most working actors don’t. I drive a beat-up f**king Prius, and I just bought my first pair of new shoes in over two years,” recalled the actress.
