Petition To Remove Amber Heard From ‘Aquaman 2’ Passes 3 Million Signatures
She reportedly will have just 10 minutes of screen time.
Amber Heard played the role of Mera in 2018’s Aquaman. Her continued involvement in the DC franchise or any movies has become controversial, especially as recordings seemed to confirm that she physically or emotionally abused Johnny Depp during their marriage.
Fans have been campaigning to get Heard removed from Aquaman 2, the same way Depp was pushed out of his role as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean.
A petition on change.org titled Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2 has passed over three million signatures.

Before the petition’s launch, producer Peter Safran had spoken to the deadline about calls for Heard to be removed from the film amid ongoing disputes between Heard and Depp. He told the news outlet that he doesn’t think they will ever react to pure fan pressure.
Safran added: “One is not unware of what is going on in the Twitter-verse, but that doesn’t mean you have to react to it or take it as gospel or accede to their wishes.”
But then, film journalist Grace Randolph has insisted that even if Heard appears in Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom, it wouldn’t be a lengthy screen time. Grace confirmed that the actress would have only ten minutes in the movie. However, it’s unknown if her role was intended to be short or if the reduction was due to her defamation trial with Depp.
