People Rally Behind Marilyn Manson As They Slam Evan Rachel Wood
That “two toxic friends.”
During the defamation lawsuit Johnny Depp had against ex-wife Amber Heard, Marilyn Manson is a name often brought up in the trial. The 58-year-old does maintain a long close relationship with the musician that goes back to the ’90s.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that some of the most outrageous stories of fights and abuse were brought up during the trial. Both sides have claimed that each of them was a victim of domestic abuse. Drugs and alcohol were also often quoted as the catalyst, which was how Manson’s name was dragged into the discussion.
Marilyn Manson, 53, was known for his eccentric music taste. But since 2021, he was known as the alleged abuser of ex-fiance Evan Rachel Woods.
The trending tag #JusticeforJohnnyDepp became top-ranked on Twitter once more since the trial was publicly streamed. As the 36-year-old ‘Aquaman’ actress receives major backlash as the evidence and claims she made were deemed insufficient to the public eyes, the masses have begun turning their head to Manson’s case.
#IStandWithMarilynManson trending tag had brought up the case that saw the man being accused of human trafficking, sexual assault, and many more.
She took to Instagram on February 1, 2021, to expose her then-fiance, Marilyn Manson, as the man who “horrifically abused” her for years.
“He started grooming me when I was a teenager,” wrote the actress. “I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail.”
“I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives,” she continued her declaration. “I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.”
They first met in 2006 and Rachel Woods was 18, which meant he was 19 years younger than Manson, who was 37 by then.
There’s a part of those who support Depp believing that perhaps, Wood was lying about the allegations as well.

Heard and Wood were friends who rose to popularity after establishing themselves with A-list celebrities at their peak. Both had similar age gaps with their partners, and both ended their relationship with allegations of domestic abuse.
The two close friends of 30 years have even been labeled as “abused men” by some.

Manson was also reportedly the godfather to Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose Depp when she was born in 1999. The actor later made an appearance in one of his music videos in 2017 as a model depicted doing explicit things with two other topless models.
Depp had hilariously told the court that he gave Manson a pill because he wouldn’t shut up.
The trial continues as explosive claims were made in court. Heard will be cross-examined by Depp’s team of lawyers. The defamation lawsuit demands $50 million from Heard for his damaging Washington Post op-ed, countersued by Heard for $100 million.
