People Left Dazed To Find Out Influencers Don’t Use Mirrors To Take ‘Mirror’ Selfies
A camera on a tripod does the magic.
The reason why your mirror selfies are always warped compared to the flawless ones shared by influencers has finally been solved. Majorly, it’s because they aren’t real mirror selfies! Surprised? You don’t have to be, primarily as influencers are known for modifying their photos and presenting followers a polished and ideal version of their lives; hence anything else shouldn’t leave in awe.
It all started on Reddit account r/Instagramreality before landing on Twitter. A user uncovered that influencers pose in front of another camera to take their selfies instead of using a mirror. It was explained that another camera or perhaps a phone on a tripod is placed opposite, and with the help of a self-timer, Influencers hold their other mobile phone in their hands as a prop.
Internet users left stunned after uncovering that influencers pose in front of another camera to take their selfies instead of using a mirror.
“Ever since I found out influencers don’t actually use mirrors but just another camera when taking mirror selfies, my life has not known peace.” Reddit user @ffrhcp wrote alongside a collage photo. People rushed to the comment section without hesitation, expressing how deluded they are by the fake mirror photos.

“I always wondered the same xD rather, all my mirror selfies looked way too close. I always thought they must be taking selfies in large-*ss rooms from far away or something? But the fake selfies make more sense. Opened my eyes.” One user wrote.

Danielle Bernstein is believed to be one of the influencers who take mirror selfies without a mirror.
A second wrote: “Oh, that’s the case? I was wondering why my mirror selfies looked meh compared to other people.” A third added: “Sorry, but I don’t know how to process the fact influencers are faking mirror pictures.” Interestingly, Ella Emhoff, US Vice President Kamala Harris’s stepdaughter, got involved in the theory, sharing a mirror selfie while outside.

However, Danielle Bernstein, with the username weworewhat on Instagram, is believed to be one among the influencers who take mirror selfies without using a mirror. A few Twitter users equally admitted they use the technique, too, with an Oxford Brookes University Student claiming she had thought she was smart using the trick.
