Patient, 44, Shares His Symptoms, Reveals He Didn’t Understand It At First And Might’ve Infected Others

Just as how Colton Underwood’s story emerged, the COVID-19 can undeniably threaten even the healthiest of humans. Such was also the same with a high profile lawyer and ex-federal prosecutor – David Lat.

The virus attacked the lawyer with all of its might and the 44-Year-Old couldn’t just beat it all by himself. Insanely high fever, severe breathing issues, and other signs did have him hospitalized.

But his battle didn’t just end there. He got admitted to the intensive care unit where he started fighting real hard for his life. While on a ventilator and in a critical condition, Zachary Baron Shemtob, Lat’s husband revealed: ‘One of the difficult parts here is we can’t even visit him. It’s really challenging.’

Fortunately, Lat was able to pull through and even got better. The lawyer shared all the things he went through while battling the virus in order to express how serious it is.

Lat was however in a critical condition at the NYU Langone Hospital IN Manhattan, where he fought his way through with the virus that had taken a turn for the worse.

One challenging part of Lat’s illness, according to Shemtob is that he and other family members weren’t permitted to go to the hospital, most especially as the virus is transmittable.

Shemtob also revealed that the doctors had prescribed a Z-Pak (azithromycin) and an anti-malaria drug for Lat, adding that an IL 6-inhibitor was also used to fight the inflammation around Lat’s lungs.
