Michael Jordan, a sports legend during the opening of a $7milion health clinic that would guarantee health care for the uninsured in his home town of Charlotte teared up while giving an emotional speech.
The clinic named The Novant Health Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinic held its ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday and was attended by Micheal Jordan himself.

Jordan, 56, added: ‘I stand here before you as a proud son and parent, a member of this community. You see my name, but you see a lot of people behind me and the commitment, most importantly my mom, about caring for other people and being a part of a community really matters.’
And for about three weeks before the launch, over 300 people have been attended to by social workers, staff doctors and by other health-care professionals
The center via a press release said it will be offering additional comprehensive health and social care to address health equity gas as well as social determinants in the community
In 2017, Jordan donated a total sum of $7million to fund the center. And for about three weeks before the launch, over 300 people have been attended to by social workers, staff doctors and by other health-care professionals.
Specifically, Jordan’s donation was designed to benefit residents that are struggling financially in Charlotte as well as to improve the community access to medical care.

While Jordan had been a longtime resident of the state and played basketball at North California before unveiling his Hall of Fame with the Chicago Bull, the center via a press release statement said it will be offering additional comprehensive health and social care to address health equity gas as well as social determinants in the community.
However, the clinic will be open from Monday to Friday – 8 am to 5 pm.
