Mom Makes Her Daughter, 5, Tape A Note On Her Back In Supermarket So She Won’t Be Shamed
She didn’t bring her because she likes to.
Since the outbreak, grocery shopping is no more relaxing activities. People are advised to do this alone whenever possible to reduce the chance of exposing your family to the dangerous virus. As much as possible, people need to leave their children and the elderly at home as they are most susceptible to infection.
But a certain mother has been bringing her little girl for grocery shopping lately. She decided to tape a note on her back.
Single mother Mary Ann Fausey Resendez tape a note that explains why her 5-year-old girl has to tag along during her grocery shopping.
“I am only 5. I can’t stay home alone so I have to buy groceries with mommy… Before you start judging, stay back 6 feet.”
Like everyone else, nobody enjoys bringing their 5-year-old to a possibly contaminated area. We want to keep them safe as much as possible, but we also don’t want to get jailed for leaving them home alone.

It doesn’t occur to some people that we all have our own situations. With the choice of letting an outsider home out, we only have ourselves to depend on. Unfortunately, we cannot just summon a partner and some may have spouses or partners who work on healthcare or very far from home.
We don’t know the situations for other people and the best thing to do is offer our help at best and understanding at least.
