Man’s ‘Awkward’ Reaction To Female Boxer Stripping Down To Underwear
“Jesus, I hope the wife’s not watching.”
Ebanie Birdges knockout and wins aren’t the only reason her fans love her. The Blond Bomber is just equally showstopping outside the ring, but it might have been a tad too much for that one bloke who had to be in close proximity as she took off her clothes during a fight announcement!
The Australian fighter might have lost to Shannon Courtenay by decision last year, but her British fans definitely enjoyed her win by TKO four months later against Bec Connolly and then against Mailys Gangloff a month later.
The Blonde Bomber has also gone popular for her weigh-ins appearance, like when she was in leopard print underwear in one of her fight announcements last year!
In her second out of three UK fight announcements, the professional boxer took off her clothes down to her underwear, leaving the blokes around her awkwardly staring at the ceiling.
As the boxer shared a throwback video of her weigh-in, people noticed that one particular man who awkwardly was trying to avert his gaze.
One of her fan commented, “Guy in the back ground, don’t look at her, don’t look at her, I’m on camera don’t look at her.”
“It’s always how uncomfortable the men in the back be for me… comical!!!” wrote another.
“Always laugh at them struggling not to look,” another user was left in stitches.
Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn spoke in lighthearted about how he’s praticed with looking far into the distance during these moments.
“Anywhere the eyes look, there are cameras everywhere, do you know what I mean?” said the man in ‘Behind The Gloves’.
“So the best way to go about it is just to look somewhere else. Ebanie knows what she’s doing. She’s a tremendous fighter. Obviously, a lot of people want to see her weigh-in as well.”
“It is what it is, but for me, it’s not about keeping composure; it’s about making sure the camera doesn’t catch me at a particular time where I might be looking somewhere that looks like I’m looking somewhere else.”
“I’m respectful of that and I think I’ll just find a spot at the back of the wall somewhere.”
