Man Who ‘Hates The Taste Of Tap Water’ Spends $2,000 A Month On Bottled Water
He hates the taste of tap water.
Ryan Dubs landed himself in trouble following his now-viral video, which showed him packing away his monthly water supply. In it, the influencer revealed he spends $2,000 a month on high-end water bottles delivered directly to his house. And as a water snob, Ryan admitted it’s such a luxury.
He also answered those who might wonder where he keeps them all, sharing he has four fridges and insisted he’s got the part covered.
He then added: “Today is delivery day, so I’m about to load up my fridges, which is literally so satisfying. These boxes are so heavy because the bottles are glass, but it’s so worth it. I love Voss; it’s one of my favorite water bottle brands. I’ve always been a water snob and I know for a lot of people you’re probably like why do you care, it’s just water.”

“I hate the taste of tap water; I cannot drink it. I can only drink bottled water. It’s the only way I’ll get it in me.”
The founder of a mindful multi-million-dollar skincare company based in Toronto went on to share that for the past year, he had actually had Fiji water delivered to his home, but it started to weigh on him how much plastic waste it was creating. He explained that Voss is net carbon neutral hence it’s definitely an eco-friendlier choice. He stated: “It’s a little price, but I buy it in bulk from the same type of place that would sell to a hotel or a grocery store, so it’s a bit better.”
“Everybody has their thing and I guess I’m just a water snob. My guests love it; everybody loves to be a handed a nice cold glass water bottle.”
In the comment section of his TikTok clip, many people criticized his $2K spend while a few admitted they also prefer bottled water to drink from the tap. One person wrote: “People don’t have clean water or any water at all, and this guy out here [saying], “I hate the taste of tap water. I can’t get it in me.” Another said: “How is it carbon neutral? What about transportation?
A third added: “This is genuinely one of the most humiliating things I’ve ever seen a human being post. Thank you for making any and all insecurities I once had vanish.”
But luckily, some people defended his decision. One wrote: “Do you know the amount of fluoride in tap water? Nah man honestly you’re doing good.”
However, Ryan, who describes himself as a brand king and creative director to the star, regularly flaunts his lavish lifestyle online. Others of his videos feature him exhibiting his sky-high credit card bills, his luxury car collection, and his $2.1 million home. In January, he had boasted about the enormous amount of money he spent on his credit card in 2021.
He stated: “I’m 92% sure that I spend more money on my American Express Card than anyone else on TikTok. This is my annual spend report. I spent $950K on my Amex this year.”
