He’s saving up to pay for Christine’s annulment, which will cost £5000.

Shaun has been in a long-distance relationship with his fiancé, Christine. They’ve been together since 2013 after they met online the previous year. Christine lives in the Philippines with a five-Year-Old son, and they often speak over video calls daily.

Christine already has three children from a previous relationship and awaits moving to the United Kingdom.

The 41-Year-Old from Botley Hampshire can’t wait to tie the knot with Christine, but his best friend Jimmy is concerned about the money he sends and suggest he might not be the biological father to their son. Shaun, Jimmy, and another friend, Daniel, appeared on the first episode of the news of 90 Day Fiance UK to share their opinions about the relationship.

“I send [Christine] money once a month to help her out, cleaning manager Shaun shared.

Elsewhere in the episode, which will air on Discovery+ on Sunday 24th July, Shaun explained he sends Christine £400 every month, which leaves him with £50-£60 for himself. Jimmy questioned this, and Shaun replied he had to take a chance on love and insisted sending Christine the money showed he loved her.

Jimmy replied: “You’ve got to take it really careful.” The conversation became heated, and he added: “What we’re doing is just looking out for you, Shaun. Just in case Christian isn’t yours.”

Hitting back at Jimmy, Shaun said: “I know he’s my son. I don’t need a DNA test. You can see the resemblance on him.” He further insisted his fiancé wasn’t using him for his money and said Christine is the love of his life. Shaun admitted he’s lonely living without her and added he has met his Christian four times and is desperately trying to apply for Christine’s visa so she can move to the UK.

“When I come home from work, I usually say hello toaster; how’re you doing? Or hello kettle. And sometimes I jump in front of the mirror and say, hey Shaun, how’re you doing? He told the program.

Jimmy isn’t the person that has been concerned about Shaun sending money over to his fiancé every month. He continued: “When I started sending her money, my parents and all my friends started saying why are you sending her money? But to be honest with you, I don’t care; I’m following my heart. It’s my choice. So you either be part of me in the circle, or you’re not.”

Another obstacle standing in the way of Shaun is that Christine, a mom of four, is already married.

Although, he admitted he doesn’t feel jealous about it as he knows she loves him. “Christine is still married. In the Philippines, they’ve got totally different rule. They don’t believe in divorce; they believe in annulment and it’s costing far too much money.” Apart from the money Shaun sends every month, he’s saving up the cash to pay for Christine’s annulment, which will cost around £5000.
