Man Got Hilariously Brutal Text From Mom Asking Why He’s Single, And It Goes Viral

Every parent can be invested in their children’s love lives. Some parents have gone as far as setting up blind dates with their friends’ kids and have even gone all protective when their kids bring someone entirely new to the house. Accordingly, parents can be quite brutal with their kids’ thoughts being single, and indeed Adem Waterman just got his fair share. 

Adem recently took to Twitter to share the brutal text message his mom sent to him. The mom had questioned if his personality or looks prevented him from getting a partner. The post has undeniably gone viral, and singletons instantly found it relatable.

‘Writing your Christmas card. Shall I put to just Adem, or do you have a boyfriend yet? The mom questioned. Adem responded: ‘No boyfriend. You can just put my name on it.’ The mom then asked again: ‘Okay, will do. Do you think it’s your personality or your looks? Well, your brothers and sisters have partners. X’

‘I phoned my Nanna once after yet another job rejection, and she said, do you think it’s because you’re past your best? I was 39.’ A user commented. Another added: ‘Several family members have decided my sister and I no longer exist as we are both singles.’

A third stated: ‘My dad told me to look for a boyfriend in the local Morrison’s since I go there so much. Parent are f****** ruthless.’ A few hilariously joked about their families’ concern about their love lives.
