‘Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil’ Trailer Has Dropped And Showed Intense Fight Between In-Laws

Recently, more and more movies are touching into the complexity of villains and helping viewers to understand why they are they way they are. Not all are born evil and much like Maleficent experienced, a lot of villains became evil to exact revenge and to let no more pain be done to them.

Maleficent has exacted that very tone nicely, with gorgeous Angelina Jolie showing the beauty of the evil mistress that cursed the sleeping princess. But all went well as Maleficent was not really evil the whole time.

This sequel will explore as a new formidable Queen, played by Golden Globe Award-winning Michelle Pfeiffer, creates a rift between the two main heroines and wage war against the magical world. It really makes us wonder who is the real Mistress of Evil in this movie.

Maleficent even gets to meet her own people. All with horns and wings!

The movie’s summary reads: The film continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.

The film is directed by Joachim Rønning from a story by Linda Woolverton and a screenplay by Linda Woolverton and Micah Fitzerman-Blue & Noah Harpster, the film is produced by Joe Roth, Angelina Jolie and Duncan Henderson with Matt Smith, Jeff Kirschenbaum and Michael Vieira serving as executive producers.

The Disney movie will air in theaters on October 18.
