Madonna, 64, Shows Off Her Age-Defying Physique In New Sizzling Post
She’s no stranger to sultry poses and her latest post is no different.
The Queen of Pop has brought her 1992 S*x coffee table book to life, collaborating with luxury brand Yves Saint Laurent. A total of 800 limited copies of the book’s re-edition have been printed and its exhibition will present large-format photographs by Fabien Baron and Steven Meisel during Miami Art Basel from Nov. 29th until Dec. 4th.
The 64-Year-Old took to Instagram to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the book’s controversial release, showcasing her fit physique and smooth visage.
Notably, she’s working hand-in-hand with Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello to co-curate the exhibition and the re-issued copies of the groundbreaking XXX tome-some are set to be signed/auctioned off to benefit the Raising Malawi charity. The exhibit will also showcase T-shirts and totes, which will be on sale at Saint Laurent in Miami’s Design District.
In her post, the Like A Prayer hitmaker posed for a sultry pic, with light illuminating from an array of candles.
Madonna has been sharing racy snaps all week, but the post which promotes her book re-release showed the entertainer flaunting her fit frame in a lacy, fitted corset and she also slipped into a long, fur coat for partial cover. She accessorized with an assortment of flashy necklaces, which indeed completed her overall ensemble. Also, her long locks were parted in the middle and flowed past her shoulders in light waves.
“I’d like to put you in a trance,” Madonna typed out to her 18.6 million Instagram followers.
In October, the pop star brought up the S*x book on Instagram & shared the response she received. She wrote: “30 years ago I published a book called S.E.X. In addition to photos of me naked there were photos of Men Kissing Men, Woman Kissing Woman and Me Kissing everyone. I also wrote about my sexual fantasies and shared my point of view about sexuality in an ironic way.”
The Vogue singer expressed she felt the book paved the way for current celebrities and slammed narrow-minded who’d tried to shame her for empowering herself as a woman.
She concluded: “I spent the next few years being interviewed by narrow minded people who tried to shame me for empowering myself a woman. Now Cardi B can sing about her WAP. Kim Kardashian can grace the cover of any magazine with her naked a** and Miley Cyrus can come in like a wrecking ball. You’re welcome b****es.”
The Michigan-born had in 1992 earned an equivalent of $38.6M in today’s dollars for the 132-page aluminum-covered book.
At the time, it went on to sell 1.5M copies worldwide and was quite controversial. But now, s*x is well-regarded for its social and cultural impact and is considered a bold post-feminist, LGBT-beloved work. Madonna, whose last name is Ciccone was also arguably S&M’s first cultural ambassador due to the sadomasochistic images, simulations of s*xual acts, and softcore p*rnography.
However, the book was at the time released a day after the singer’s 5th studio album Erotica.
