Jeff Bezos’ Ex-Wife Mackenzie Scott Donated $55M Luxurious Mansions To Charity
She’s one of the world’s most charitable people right now.
Mackenzie Scott has become a name many are familiar with for being one of the world’s most charitable billionaires. And it was with good reasons – the ex-wife of Jeff Bezos donated over $12 billion to different charities, nonprofit organizations, and groups.
The ex-wife to Jeff Bezos’s net worth is around $37 billion, which includes her 4% stake in Amazon.
And that was after she sold over $8.5 million worth of stock in the company earlier this year. The 52-year-old is still a billionaire after all that.
After divorcing Jeff Bezos, she got married to her high school chemistry teacher Dan Jewett in 2021.
She’s finally transferred two the Beverly Hills mansion she owned, bought while still married to Jeff Bezos, to California Community Foundation (CCF) on July 29.
They bought their first home, a solar-powered, Spanish-style home, back in 2007 for $24.5 million.
It was a 12-square-feet home with seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Followed by another home off-market on the same street ten years later for $12.9 million.
It was built in 1956 and over 4,500-square feet, located near Coldwater Canyon Park like the first mansion.
These homes have been listed and according to CCF, 90% of the proceeds will go to “affordable housing grant making.” The rest will go to help immigrant integration program meant to help millions of immigrants in Los Angeles country to find opportunities.
