‘Lucifer’ Gets His Due As Netflix Orders For More
He’s finally got what he deserves.
Netflix finally listens to his viewers, the people who keep the streaming service alive. ‘Lucifer’ is a TV show that focuses on the Devil who explores the earth to have some fun. From a show that was discarded by Fox, ‘Lucifer’ became a show taken in and revived by Netflix.
Not just that, Netflix gave the show a chance to get all the stories out with season 5 being their final one.
Sure, it’s such sad news, but at least it’s better than having the show axed before Ildy Modrovich gets to show everything. Fans could definitely use 6 more seasons, but we have to settle with what they have decided. Season 5 comes out with 10 episodes and that’s really good news. Still can’t stop fans from asking for more, though.
Ildy Modrovich tried hard to keep fans calm and content with the 10 episodes, but it appears that Netflix has more to say. “And while we feel just as sad as many of you do that, this marvelous ride is coming to an end, a fight won’t change things right now,” Modrovich explained.
Netflix is listening and ordered for more evil on its streaming service. We are getting SIX more hours in the show which gives it a total of 16 episodes for the last season! It’s airing on 2020, but no specific release date has been given yet as of now.
Previously, Fox dropped the show after its third season which was obviously a mistake. Fans outpouring love and support for the show shot the show’ tag to a worldwide trend, which prompted Netflix to pick up the show. They signed for a fourth and fifth which was also announced to be the last season of the show.
This means ‘Lucifer’ has 77 episodes, one of the longest-running Original Series by Netflix after ‘Orange Is The New Black’ which has 91 episodes. Characters in the show are created by Neil Gaiman who was a supporting character, Lucifer Morningstar, in his comic book series, ‘The Sandman’. It also got a spin-off.
It stars Tom Ellis as the Devil Adversary himself, Lauren German as Detective Chloe Decker who is also his love interest, Kevin Alejandro as Det. Dan Espinoza, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Maze, Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez and Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin. On season 4, new characters, Eve and Father Kinley, are introduced and played by Inbar Lavi and Graham McTavish respectively.
Oh yea, we are so hyped. (And still hoping for a season 6.)
