Lizzo Sparks Outrage For Dressing Up As Blueface’s Girlfriend Chrisean Rock For Halloween
“I don’t know who to slap.”
Lizzo’s choice of Halloween costume for this year isn’t sitting well with some fans. The “Truth Hurts” singer picked to dress up as a fellow musician that made headlines a few weeks ago after it was revealed that she and her boyfriend are involved in an unhealthy relationship.
Lizzo showed off her outfit on her Instagram, and people could immediately tell it was Rock as she wore the makeup, outfit, down to the accessories.
Lizzo had her hair tied in a ponytail and fake gold teeth on while she lipsynced to the song on her post. She wore a dramatic diamond chain that spelled her childhood nickname and sportswear brand, Yitty.
Her makeup was equally dramatic, with thick eyelashes and eyebrows and moist lips.
She wore a white T-shirt mixed with denim shorts and finished her look with gold earrings. Lizzo decided to be Chrisean this year after she was arrested back in August after she punched Blueface, her boyfriend, in the face at a bar in Arizona. Not too long ago, she and her boyfriend were caught fighting in public in Hollywood, where Blueface hit her in the head and knocked her to the ground, before ripping off her necklace off her neck.
The fight didn’t stop as they continued to hit each other all over the body.
The couple has been involved in an on-and-off relationship since 2020, and a documentary will be made on their toxic relationship, titled “Crazy in Love.” A part of the internet reacted similarly to Lizzo’s choice of costume in the documentary, which is “exploitative.”
Although, Lizzo had captioned her post with “respectfully” to indicate that she was paying homage.
She’d also snapped a few pictures and copied Rock’s behavior while using her voice in the videos. Rock appeared to have appreciated her rendition of her and retweeted her post. Many of her fans had also expected Rock to take it positively as she meant no disrespect.
And on Saturday, she revealed another costume where she dressed up as Marge Simpson from ‘The Simpsons.’ She went all out with the yellow body, red necklace, green sequin dress, and tall blue hair!
