Lisa Marie Presley, 54, Passed Away From Cardiac Arrest
She initially complained of stomach pains before she was found unconscious.
The sole daughter to Elvis Presley and his ex-wife, Priscila Presley, has passed away following a “full cardiac arrest.” Her mother confirmed the death after watching over her at her bedside. She was 54 years old and was already unconscious when found at her home in Calabasas, California.
Her mother released a statement, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.”
“She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
Just two days ago, she was seen with her 77-year-old mother at the Golden Globe Awards held at Beverly Hills.
Lisa Marie led a pretty tumultous life after four failed marriages, five stints in rehab for cocaine and opioid abuse, and lost one of her children to self-harm.
At the time of discovery, it was her housekeeper that found her unresponsive in her bedroom. Her ex-husband, Danny Keough, had just got home and immediately gave her CPR until paramedics arrived. A source said someone “administered epinephrine at the scene at least one time” to save her.
Her mother pictured exiting the West Hills Hospital and Medical Center after the announcement of her daughter’s death.
Lisa Marie, born to the legendary singer Elvis Presley, has made a name for herself as a singer and songwriter. She shares three children from her marriages, including Riley Keough who’s now an actress.
Riley had recently been sharing posts praising her mother. She wrote, “I was raised by somebody who did their own thing and didn’t really care what other people thought. She was definitely inspirational to me.”
She was seen with her mom tearing up at Austin Butler’s speech after winning Best Actor for his role as Elvis in Baz Luhrmann’s film.
Her personal struggle has never been revealed in detail until she had to file the paperwork for her divorce from musician Michael Lockwood, followed by custody fights for their twin girls.
She’s also known for her famous high-profile relationship with Michael Jackson, a two-year marriage that was truly like a whirlwind.
