Lili Reinhart Slams Kim Kardashian’s Ignorance Over Promoting Her Met Gala Diet As ‘Disgusting’

When Kim Kardashian revealed she lost 16 pounds in three weeks to fit into Marilyn Monroe’s dress, it drew many backlashes and sparked heated debates on how psychologically dangerous it is to promote extreme diets. Lili Reinhart appears to agree that it’s somewhat toxic.
The Riverdale actress had openly spoken about her body image struggle and condemned the sexiest societal standards.
Taking to Instagram to address Kim’s diet crash, Lili started with: “So wrong. So f**ked on 100s of levels.”
She then added: “To openly admit to starving yourself for the sake of the Met Gala. When you know very well that millions of young men and women are looking up to you and listening to your every word. To walk on the red carpet and do an interview where you say how starving you are. Because you haven’t eaten carbs in the last month, all to fit in a f**ing dress?”
Lili concluded: “The ignorance is other-worldly and disgusting. Please stop supporting these stupid harmful celebrities whose entire image revolves around their bodies.”
She further reiterated thoughts she had shared earlier about the industry’s toxic beauty standard, saying, “I’ am not generally an angry person, but I swear to god, the toxicity of this industry sometimes gets to me. And I have to do my little Instagram-story rants to release my rage.”
However, Lili didn’t attend the Met Gala this year, yet she seems updated with the night’s red carpet news.
On the other hand, Kim, pictured with Pete Davidson, had reportedly said after the Met Gala, “I’m starving,” as she showed off donuts and pizza waiting in her room.
