Leonardo DiCaprio, 47, Breaks Up With Camila Morrone Just Months After She Turned 25
Reasons for the breakup isn’t given.
The Academy Award winner Leonardo DiCaprio, and his model-turned-actress GF Camila Morrone have called it quit after five years together. A source close to the 47-Year-Old actor alleged the relationship ended this summer, and the reason for the breakup isn’t given.
The Titanic star was first introduced to the 25-Year-Old in 2008 when she was 12.
DiCaprio’s longtime friend Al Pacino, who had dated Camila’s mom Lucila Sola made the introductions. From then, the Revenant star remained friends with the family. Officially, Camila and DiCaprio got together in 2017, following his breakup with model Nina Agdal days before the Cannes Film Festival.
The two raised their relationship profile in 2018 when they attended Ellen DeGeneres’s birthday party and were seen showing off PDA at Coachella later in the year.
At the time, a source told People the relationship had escalated in seriousness as the two were very in love and serious and talked about getting engaged. The source also claimed Leo had never loved a girl like this, and he was considering having children with his new love. But sadly, the pair, per insiders, had recently grown apart.
“Leo and Camila ended their relationship over the summer. There is no bad feeling between them. It just came to a natural conclusion,” a source told The Sun.
The last public sightings of the two appeared to be an outing at a beach in Malibu on July 3, though they were not pictured together at the time. Now, Camila appears to have joined the ranks of DiCaprio’s ex-GFs, none of whom are known to have dated him past the age of 25. At the Academy Awards in March, Amy Schumer joked about the actor’s penchant for only dating young women.
“He’s done so much to fight climate change and leave behind a cleaner, greener planet for his girlfriends,” she joked.
Following the news of his split, DiCaprio had been spotted meeting up with some of his guy friends for lunch in NYC. The Killers of the Flower Moon star dropped by II Buco while wearing a mask to protect against COVID-19. He was dressed in a plain white T-shirt and low-key gray cargo shots. He also rocked a pale gray NBA baseball cap and paired the casual ensemble with black trainers.
However, DiCaprio’s commitment to not publicly discussing his relationship was tested when his and Camila’s films premiered at Cannes in 2019.
He represented his Quentin Tarantino film ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood while Camila walked the red carpet for Mickey and The Bear. The pair at the time didn’t walk together at either screening, and he didn’t also identify her as his GF. In the summer of the same years, Camila reminded fans of DiCaprio of his penchant for dating young women when she posted a romantic photo of Humphrey Bogart and his younger wife, Lauren Bacall.
In 2020, the pair continued their pattern of walking red carpets separately but made their first public appearance as a couple inside the Oscars ceremony.
Throughout 2022, the couple was pictured as affectionate and reported to be as strongly connected as ever. DiCaprio was seen earlier this year taking the dogs that Camila had fostered on solo walks and, in June, had also been pictured on a beach outing with his father and Al Pacino, whom Camila considers to be her stepfather even after his split from her mother.
