Kim Kardashian Slams Kanye West Meme About Her Break-Up With Pete Davidson
It’s alleged Kim is sad about the breakup.
Kim Kardashian has slammed her estranged-husband Kanye West for posting an appalling meme mocking her breakup with Pete Davidson. The reality TV star, 41, and the 28-Year-Old comedian had first linked in October when Kim made her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live.
And after a nine-month romance, the pair have decided to be friends due to long distance and clashing schedules, with Kim based in the US & Pete filming in Australia.
45-Year-Old West took a shot at the split, sharing a photo on Instagram of a fake New York Times newspaper with the words ‘Skete Davidson dead at age 28.” A message at the bottom also read: “Kid Cudi meant to play funeral but fearful of bottle throwers.” Reacting, Kim has demanded he take the post down, and she’s openly defending Pete.
“Kim won’t stand for this. She is demanding that Kanye take the post down, but he won’t,” a source close to the star told DailyMail.com.
They added: “She has been vigorously defending Pete. She’ll never get back together with Kanye over the way he’s treated the people she loves and respects. She has tried incredibly hard to have a good co-parenting situation for the children. She won’t stand for this type of behavior from him.”
This is not the first time Kanye has hit out at the mother-of-four, and he had even been banned on Instagram for 24hrs in March for violating their policies on hate speech, bullying, and harassment.
After Kim was officially linked with Pete, the rapper started posting about their children and relationship. Accordingly, sources close to the reality star have also denied reports that she split with the comedian over his immaturity. The source added: “Kim and Kanye’s divorce is still moving ahead. She thinks that people should not be ok with this post – and Instagram should not allow this type of harassment.”
“Kim has very been sad about the breakup with Pete – it’s not where she thought it would be and that’s been hard for her.”
“The distance and schedules weighed into their decision, but they do love and respect each other. She will always care for him and have his back.” Neither Pete nor Kim has publicly acknowledged the break-up, and of Kanye’s meme, some people online were left amused by the Kid Cudi reference. Kanye and Cudi had been close friends since the mid-2010s, and while they’ve had a rocky friendship, they fell out this year due to Pete.
Some people have also urged Kanye to take down the post, telling him he should rise above the behavior.
One person wrote: “Watch the energy you put into the universe man! Not cool man you better than this!” Another said: “Take this down, god. You’re free to rise above. Love you.” A third said: “So everyone @kimkardashian dates is gonna be treated like this? This is not even funny.” A fourth said: “If you want to troll anyone, troll yourself for marrying that plastic and meddling in that coven of a family. As a fan I hate this for you. Grow up.”
