Kim Kardashian Is ‘Supportive’ Of Pete Davidson For Getting Therapy
Despite breaking up, they are still friends.
The SKIMS owner has demanded Kanye West take down his controversial meme. She’s also expressed support for Pete Davidson, her former boyfriend of an SNL alum, for getting the trauma therapy he so much needed.
An insider revealed, “Kim was very supportive of Pete going to therapy.”
Just last week, the world learned that the mother-of-four is no longer dating the actor. During then, Pete Davidson had just taken a short break back from filming in Australia and was back home temporarily. Kim had visited the man back in June and was spending time together.
After nine months together, Kanye West, Kim’s ex-husband, was rubbing it in with another now-deleted Instagram post. A fake New York Times headline read: Skete Davidson Dead at 28. And people still remember the claymation MV he released back in April that showed the comedian buried alive.
The same source spoke with Page Six, “Kanye was very detrimental. He was posting negative things — now add thousands and thousands of comments. Someone has to work with you to deal with something like that.”
They added that Pete has been receiving death threats, “Getting death threats from [Kanye’s] fans and all the negative attention online doesn’t feel good for the average person — add someone who’s struggled with mental illness, and it’s even worse.”
A source close to him spoke to Entertainment Tonight, “Pete is bummed things didn’t work out with Kim, but he is focused on the future in terms of his career and personal life.”
They added that it seems their relationship goals did not mesh, “They had tons of chemistry, and still do, but she kind of wants to be single and date. Kim still adores Pete and will always be friends with him. She still thinks he’s the nicest and sweetest guy in the world, and there’s no drama or anything weird between them now.”
And rumors of Pete being “immature” was not true, as a source from Kim’s side revealed, “Kim has been very sad about the breakup with Pete – it’s not where she thought it would be, and that’s been hard for her.”
“The distance and schedules weighed into their decision, but they do love and respect each other. She will always care for him and have his back.”
And since the attack, Pete has been getting help for his mental health from constant online harassment from Kanye. A source spoke with People, “The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete], and he’s had to seek out help.”
“[Pete] has no regrets for dating Kim and wants it to be made very clear that she’s been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship… Moving forward, he just wants to focus on his career.”
