Kim Kardashian Chats With Fellow Billionaire Elon Musk At The Met Gala With Pete Davidson
A stunning display of wealth.
After walking the red carpet of the MET Gala in Manhattan, Kim Kardashian and her BF Pete Davidson were spotted chatting with the Tesla founder Elon Musk alongside Kris Jenner’s BF Corey Gamble. There appeared to be plenty to discuss with Musk following his recent purchase of the platform Twitter for $44billion.
Kim is the 12th most followed with 72.2million followers on Twitter, behind Musk with 90.3 million followers.
What was discussed among the quad is yet to be known, but Kim appeared to be wearing the same outfit worn nearly 60 years earlier by Marilyn Monroe. Jean Louis designed her glittering beaded gown. The original has been on display at Ripley’s Believe it Or Not Museum in Orlando, Florida, after it was bought from Julien’s Auction for a whopping $4.81 million.
Kim’s ensemble for the event was a perfect copy of the original and didn’t betray its source.
The SKIMs founder’s relationship with Musk came through her estranged husband, Kanye West, who was absent at the event. As recently as January, the billionaire had spent time with the rapper when they posed for a photo, months after Kanye’s marriage to Kim had dissolved into toxic tweets and rants. The Space X had paid homage to the designer by wearing a Yeezy 500 High Slate Sneakers from West’s Adidas Yeezy line.
According to Forbes, Musk has a net worth of $253.6 billion, while Kim is currently worth $1.8 billion.
Speaking with reporters gathered on the red carpet at the annual MET Gala, Musk, who attended with his mom Maye Musk [a model], claimed an essential measure of success would be whether Twitter could expand its audience significantly. He added: “Right now, it’s sort of niche. I want a much bigger percentage of the country to be on it, engaging in dialogue.”
While Twitter reportedly has about a 40milion daily active users in the United States, Musk has said the platform would be broadly inclusive and trusted.
The Tesla founder also reiterated he would make Twitter transparent about how tweets are promoted or demoted and wanted its software to be open for critique. When asked about a potential departure of employees, Musk replied: “It’s a free country. Certainly if anyone doesn’t feel comfortable with that, they will on their accord go somewhere else. That’s fine.”
