Kevin Hart And Mark Wahlberg Got Worst Rotten Tomatoes Score After Netflix’s ‘Me Time’
It’s a “sub-par comic effort” with “crass jokes.”
You’ve probably watched the newest trending movie on Netflix on the weekend, ‘Me Time,’ starring Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Hart in a comedic flick as stay-at-home dads.
While it’s been trending for a bit, viewers don’t really sound excited in their reviews for the movie. The show gave the actors their lowest rating yet on Rotten Tomatoes.
‘Me Time’ is a story about Kevin Hart’s character, Sonny, having some me-time after being a stay-at-home as his wife is away with the kids. He decided to have some fun time with an old friend, Huck, acted by Mark Wahlberg, who used to be a partygoer. The two spent a wild weekend together in the movie that also stars Regina Hall, Jimmy O. Yang, and John Amos.
The movie has a 7% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 29% for audience score.
Critics essentially hated it. One wrote, “I think ‘Me Time’ on Netflix maybe the worst movie I’ve seen all year.”
Another from Hollywood Reporter wrote, “The two stars have earned considerable goodwill from audiences over the course of their hugely successful careers. But that affection is likely to be tested with too many sub-par comic efforts.”
“‘Me Time’ takes an interesting family dynamic and hides it under crass jokes and hackneyed stunts,” read another review in Empire Magazine.
