The stars of The Matrix movie are together once again for the production of The Matrix 4 and hence, Warner Bros has projected the release date of the movie to be 21 May 2021
Surprisingly, Lionsgate already had the same date set aside for the release of John Wick 4. This means Keanu Reeves will be put against himself at the box office as he is the star character of both movies.

At the moment, there are only a few movies set for release in May 2021, these include Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness by Marvel on 7 May 2021, Spirit Riding Free by Universal on 14 May 2021 and Cruella which stars Emma Stone by Disney on 28 May 2021.

Other casts like Aquaman and Watchmen star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Harris, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff and Toby Onwumere are all rumored to be in the movie.
Abdu-Mateen II is rumored to be playing a younger Laurence Fishburne’s Morpheus from the original Matrix while Harris becomes a villain, these details are, however, not yet confirmed.
Original writer and director of the Matrix trilogy Lana Wachowski and Lily Wachowski are returning to direct the film.
Filming of Neo and Trinity is set to begin early next year with Reeves as coming back as Neo along with other matrix trilogy Trinity and Niobe.
