Lawyer Camille Vasquez earned herself not just popularity and love from the public but also a promotion at Brown Rudnick LLP after winning Johnny Depp’s defamation case.
She’s one of the lawyers on Depp’s legal team who represented Depp, known for her remarkable strong impression when she grilled Amber Heard during the cross-examination.
The chairman and CEO of Brown Rudnick, William Baldiga, wrote an announcement on their page, “We are delighted to welcome Camille to the partnership.”
“Historically, we have reserved this announcement for the end of our fiscal year. But Camille’s performance during the Johnny Depp trial proved to the world that she was ready to take this next step now.”

Camille had also confirmed the fact and announced it on her page.

Depp’s win was finally secured on June 2 when Vasquez was reportedly heard telling her team, “we won,” as she shed tears.
Celebrity lawyer Judd Burstein had also predicted that she was on the partner track and would be promoted if she won the case. She told The New York Post, “No firm would allow her to have a role in a big trial like this if she wasn’t on the partner track.”
“There are two factors that go into making a partner – your quality of lawyering and ability to attract business. She can probably go anywhere and make a nice deal for herself.”
Vasquez could really find herself a nice deal as law firms were reportedly trying to get her after her rising popularity.
