Johnny Depp’s Attorney Giggled And Refused To Comment When Asked If She Is Dating The Actor
Her actions fuel romance rumors.
Camille Vasquez, Johnny Depp’s lawyer, has amassed a huge online following, thanks to how she grilled Amber Heard during a tensed cross-examination on Monday and Tuesday. At one point, she had got Heard, 36, to admit she didn’t donate her full $7million divorce settlement to charity despite previously claiming to have done so.
Vasquez had also pointed out the actress edited a photo showing her allegedly injured face, insisting Depp is just another one of Heard’s victims and accused her of hitting her ex-GF, citing an article reporting on her 2009 arrest at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Their exchanges sometimes devolved into an angry back and forth, and indeed the attorney’s questions put Heard on the defensive as she sought to prove that her ex-husband coordinated a smear campaign against her in retaliation for a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she described herself as a survivor of domestic abuse. Depp, 58, had first Heard for $50M, claiming he was removed from movie roles. Heard hit back, countersuing him for $100M, claiming Depp branded her a liar and smeared her.
However, as Vasquez walked out of the Fairfax County Circuit Courthouse, a TMZ reporter asked the beauty: “The people want to know, are you dating Johnny Depp? It’s all over the internet. Can you set the record straight, yes or no?”

The California litigator refused to comment as she laughed, brushed her hair aside, and waved to the crowds of fans gathered outside. On Twitter, Depp’s fans have been showering praise on Vasquez for her work defending the Pirates of the Caribbean actor. Some tweeted out pictures of themselves wearing “I heart Camille Vasquez” T-shirts and shared memes that portrayed the brunette as the Nordic god of thunder and Marvel character Thor.

Fans have equally made TikToks set on romantic pop songs of the pair exchanging glances, holding hands, and talking closely.

As they entered the Fairfax County Circuit Courthouse on Wednesday, a day after they were photographed hugging in a photo, the two were all smiling. A TikTok video had shown the actor looking at his lawyer and smiling as he talked. The phrase “the way he looks at her” appeared on the screen. Another, set to the romantic song Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift, shows how Vasquez leaned over to listen to Depp as she clutched his hand in her palms.

However, legal experts note that Depp’s huge fandom accumulated over his decades-long career has benefitted him and his lawyer.

Juda Engelmayer, a crisis coordinator who represented convicted serial sexual harasser Harvey Weinstein, told the Daily Beast: “Johnny Depp is wining on social media – so his lawyer is doing the same. Historically, women who have defended men accused of sex crimes are met with online hate. But Camille Vasquez seems to have benefited from Johnny’s praise.”

However, Raquel Pennington, a former member of Depp and Heard’s inner circle, denied allegations that the actress used makeup to fake the injuries she allegedly sustained at the hands of Depp.
