“Johnny Caught Her And Tended To Her”: Kate Moss Is Set To Testify At Johnny Depp’s Defamation Trial

It’s fingers crossed.

Kate Moss’ testimony, scheduled for Wednesday, will officially confirm whether Amber Heard’s statement that Johnny Depp pushed the British model down some steps in Jamaica is the fact or a lie. The actress had brought up Moss in her testimony earlier this month, saying she felt connected to her due to a rumor of the incident in the 1990s.

Heard unintentionally permitted Depp’s lawyers to call the model as a witness by mentioning the wrongdoing.

And reacting, Depp’s legal team had been filmed fist-bumping and celebrating at the mention of Moss’s name.

On May 5, Heard first referred to Moss when she told the jury of a March 2015 fight when she hit Depp over concerns that he would push her sister, Whitney, down the stairs. “Whitney’s back was to the staircase, and Johnny swings at her. I don’t hesitate; I don’t wait – I just, in my head, instantly think of Kate Moss and stairs. And I swung at him.”

48-Year-Old Moss had dated Depp from 1994 until 1997. The private model rarely discusses her personal life, but then she will be testifying in support of Depp.

A source familiar with the case has told New York Post that Moss is expected to shut down Heard’s claim and said of the incident in Jamaica that the model “was wearing flip flops and she slipped on the last two stairs. Johnny caught her and tended to her.” This comes as Heard’s legal team recently announced they’ve changed their minds and will not call Depp back to the witness stand because it would be as relevant to them as a bicycle to a fish.

“Everything Depp had testified up to this point has been irrelevant to the heart of this case, and there’s no reason to believe it would be any different now,” Heard’s attorney had stated.

In 2012, Moss had told Vanity Fair that she spent years crying about Depp after their relationship ended. “There’s nobody that’s ever been able to take care of me. Johnny did for a bit. I believed what he said. Like if I said ‘What do I do? He’d tell me and that’s what I missed when I left. I really lost that gauge of somebody I could trust,” She had said, calling it a nightmare.

However, the Aquaman star had brought up the same rumor about Moss amid Depp’s UK trial against The Sun.

As she described the same incident, Heard said at the time: “I remembered information that I had heard [that] he pushed a former girlfriend – I believe it was Kate Moss down the stairs. I had heard this rumor from two people, and it was fresh in my mind.” Eventually, Depp lost the case after the UK high court substantiated most of Heard’s abuse allegations.
