Jaden Smith Shows Support For His Dad After He Smacks Chris Rock At Oscars
The son appeared to be proud of how his father reacted.
Jaden Smith had shared a supportive tweet for his father on his page. The 23-year-old appeared to have also felt moved by his father’s acceptance speech at the Oscars after winning the Best Actor for his role in ‘King Richard’.
The tweet received hundreds of thousands of reactions from people.

Earlier that night, Will Smith had walked up the stage to slap Chris Rock after he made a joke by pointing at Jada Pinkett Smith and made a ‘G.I. Jane’ reference. Jada was clearly unamused, while Will was laughing and kept a smile as he walked up to the host.
The smile had disappeared when he returned to his seat, telling the comedian to “keep my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth”.

In a now-deleted tweet, he also mentioned crying at Will Smith’s acceptance speech, in which he apologizes to everyone but Chris Rock for what happened.

Jaden’s tweet has reached over 735k likes on Twitter at the time of writing, and the number continues to rise over time. The comment, however, is filled with mixed reactions between those who thought Will had overreacted and that Rock had crossed the line with the joke.
Some thought violence isn’t the answer, and the Best Actor winner should’ve taken things backstage.

But others agreed with Jaded about how Will defended his wife on stage.

One user wrote, “You do what you do for your family. If someone were dissing my partner in front of the whole world, I would have done the exact same thing.”
“Chris disrespected Jada and her condition, and he defended his wife. Chris knew he was in the wrong and deserved that; that’s why he didn’t fight back,” wrote another.

Reactions have been mixed, with many even suggesting that Smith could be reported for assault, but so far, Rock hasn’t filed for one yet. Smith’s family has also been quiet regarding this incident aside from Jaden’s two tweets.
